I had the same problem when I had the ffd codecs installed. If you have Premiere, ditch WMM. It may take you a while to learn all the functions but it is rather easy and logical despite the look of it. It's basically the same drag and drop and it won't give you constant meltdowns.

I have the free trial version, starting today. When I imported a file, it said "this is created with..." all over the video. Does it do that with the finished file as well in trial mode?

Huh? No that doesn't happen with the non-trial version.

That's happened to me and it's awful. It's better on the new computer, but I never really figured it out on the old one. It got to the point where if I wanted to edit, I had to play it through from the start; couldn't go to the edit point directly because it would go out of sync.

Yeah, I've started trying that. A good thing this vid is only about a minute - I might just about have the patience for that.
