Your posts always makes me want to run off to the library! I did end up re-reading all of Gripe's Skugg books last month. So wonderful!

I really have to read some DWJ books.

Oh, that Merry and Pippin scene always makes me bawl.

The Wind on the Moon by Eric Linklater, preferably filmed by Per Åhlin

OMG, that would be the most awesome thing ever! He would do such a brilliant job of it.

Ooh, what a lovely reaction! Was there anything in particular that caught your fancy?

I'm so glad you enjoyed the re-read of the Skuggserie. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!

I love those two so much, and that particular scene makes me want to serve them my heart on a platter, except of course that would be gross.

Yeah, I heard about how he'd wanted to do it yet with one thing or another never been able to, and all I could think was dooooo iiiiiiiit!

Oh, wouldn't Lord John Grey make a great weekly crime series? Or one of those maxiseries, with a new story each time? I'd so watch that.

Yay! Thank you so much.

That would be fairly awesome. The third book is a collection of short stories, isn't it? (I haven't read it.) Boy, the people getting their panties in a twist because Robert Downey Junior made a joke about sleeping in the same room as Jude law would have a field day with that one.

Northanger Abbey has been made into a film (starring Felicity Jones), but I'm not sure I like it. I do love the novel though. :)

Am now torn between "oooh!" and "aw". There have been so many bad or mediocre JA films, I'm not sure I can stand being disappointed by Northanger Abbey too. How bad is it?

Actually there are at least two Northanger Abbey films that I know of! The one with Felicity Jones" is quite recent and I liked it on the whole; it wasn't perfect but it was certainly watchable and entertaining. The one from 1986 has a hugely creepy Henry Tilney and gave my friend and I conflicting feelings of horror and hilarity, but not the good kind.

ALSO man, now I totally want to ask you your top ten DWJ crossovers!

I'll make a list, but it might take a while, because basically I tend to think of DWJ crossovers at least once or twice with every fandom. :-)
