Can someone with more knowledge of US children's songs help me out? I need a song about water/bathing/washing that's old enough that Buffy might have heard it as a child. Var has kindly suggested "This is the way we wash our face", which works just fine, especially since I actually know the tune (it's the same as "önska önska runt i ring" in

Just commenting to say I am of Buffy's generation and recognize wash our face / rubber ducky but have never ever heard tiny turtle before :( (Although I too immediately guessed the tune.)

I still haven't entirely figured out the tune - all the youtube vids are sung by kids who aren't too tune-y.
