I finally, after all these years, just watched my first episode of Press Gang. I watched "Bad Day."
Enjoyed it.

I have to go to bed now, or I would watch some of the others you have uploaded. :)

I'll elaborate more later. Did Spike grow up to be somebody famous?

Whee, another convert! Yay!

I wouldn't say famous - he's been in Band of Brothers and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and some other ensemble pieces like that, so he's certainly working, but not in high-profile parts. Julia Sawalha (Lynda) has made more of a name for herself, really.

I think I recognized him from LS&2SB.
So he IS british. I thought his "American" accent sounded rather not-American...

He's British, but he started doing things in the US pretty early - he was "Babyface" in Bugsy Malone.

And as I say every time an American points this out, I never noticed anything odd about his accent until everyone told me about it. Then again, I doubt most Americans find something odd with what passes for a Swedish accent in films & TV. *g*
