The decapitated heads just make me wanna see Sin City even more. I grew up on Highlander like most nerds grew up on Star Trek. Decapitation holds a very special place in my heart.

A Sandman movie always seemed so wrong to me. It's just so wonderful as a comic book that I don't think it would ever be as good as a movie. Perhaps the Death movie will change my mind. I'm a bit iffy about that one, but Neil Gaiman wrote the script so it should be good. Maybe I've just been burned by too many bad comic book movies.

Too each their own. Decapitation tends to make me touch my neck to make sure my head is still attached. And those horror stories about heads that still think or blink or try to talk afterwards... *shudders*

Ah, but this is an imaginary movie. Those are always good. :-) I'm not advocating an actual making of the Sandman movie, just that if there was one, these are the people I'd see in the parts. I like casting books and comic books. So far, I can't recall an adaptation where they actually picked my choice - but then, some of ( ... )

Freaky part is that can actually happen. I forget how long, but I think it's at least a minute, there's enough oxygen in the brain to substain concousness so people could actually do that. Freaky.

And I think you're being a bit harsh on comic book movies - I've seen plenty of good ones. Granted, I had not, as a rule, read the comics...)

I think not reading the comic books is the trick to enjoying them. One of the main reasons I haven't read Sin City. But Frank Miller is like unto God, so... My problem has been me reading the comic then seeing the movie and wondering if the writers/director ever actually read the comic.

Which is why I never ever ever want to be decapitated ever ever. Ew.

Can we please not talk about this? I'm already sleepith the lights on.

I think sometimes they probably haven't...

Of course, I'm odd in the sense that I don't really want faithful adaptations for anything - I can't much see the point in just doing the same thing twice. As I understand it, Sin City was very faithful and admittedly that did work, but you can really only do Sin City once. Try another adaptation in the same style and it just gets boring ( ... )

So I'm guessing you won't have seen Kill Bill, then, what with the body parts aversion? ;)

Wanna see Sin City. I've read a few of the comics and I quite like Frank Miller's stuff.

Nope, I haven't.

And Sin City is worth seeing if you're not squeamish. I turned out to be more squeamish than I thought.
