poll on Buffy's boyfriend

When I re-watched the Buffy movie with Padma, it occurred to me that as little as I like Luke Perry, Pike was actually a better boyfriend than most of the guys Buffy has dated since.

Which got me thinking. And thus I have this poll. Please take it if you have an opinion at all. I'm very curious to see the result.

She had SUCH CRAPPY taste in men, this girl. :) Or well, maybe the writers ideas of what would make a good boyfriend were a little out there, too.

I remember liking Parker (he was the one-night-stand, right?) since he seemed to be the introduction to a more realistic outlook on college!sex, but alas. Angel on made me hateful and grumpy. And the vampire thing really is a problem, people! Riley had so many inferiority issues that he probably would have ended up dead if they had continued their relationship. Spike is not someone you have a relationship with although I confess I do like the Spike/Buffy in a Doomed and So Friggin' Unhealthy sort of way. Robin would have been a better match, but then again we didn't get to see enough of his personal issues and demons. He was obsessed with his mother, though... :P

I seriously think Buffy and Faith is the best match. They can work out their hang-ups in a physically superior, mutually paranoid environment and not hurt anyone else in the process.

Well, there have been good boyfriends on the show...

...coming to think of it, that's pretty much limited to Oz and possibly Giles. And even Oz cheated on his girlfriend. It's not much better on Angel either.

The trouble with Parker was that he lied. If he had said, "Hey, I want to have sex with you and never call you again," I would have been all in favour of him. :-)

It's kind of creepy in a way that he went straight from one slayer to another. But since it gave me the shiny hot ship of Faith/Robin I'm not complaining.

Only people who actually dated or had sex with Buffy count, since otherwise we have no proof that she'd find them even remotely sexually attractive. :-)
