Today, I got vaccinated against tuberculosis. Having read the note on the effects of said vaccine (I'll get a hardened bump that'll burst and leak puss and heal and it'll all take about three months) I decided I needed some cheering up. So I ordered season 1 of Angel from dvdboxoffice.com. Nearly 500 Swedish kronor (85 Canadian dollars, for those ( Read more... )

It will be great. And it *is* worth some money - it'd cost twice as much to get it here.

I just bought s1 of BtVS from my friend a few days ago, guess I've gone into extravaganza...

I keep pondering Dead Like Me on Amazon... although since I bought the 2nd half of Angel season 5 on video today (as I still haven't seen the last six eps and it was sitting in the shop evilly looking at me) that's less likely to happen in the very near future.

I am however currently enjoying hugely rewatching Press Gang in order, in entire. So Angel's not even gonna get a look in for a while. :)

Well, I did tape the pilot. Am anal that way. :-) If you're still wishy-washy in a few months, let me know.

Wow, you still like it? That's great! Often our childhood memories don't live up to our adult expectations... How far have you gotten?

I don't think I watched it religiously back then, although I do remember it. My sister was a fan. I'm enjoying it more this time around. Certainly appreciate the character of Lynda more. :) I'm on the last few episodes of season 1.

Lynda is fabulous. I think one of the reasons I could never quite see Buffy as the saving grace of female TV characters was because I remembered the bitch queen that is Lynda.

And the last few eps of season 1 are great Lynda eps. :-)

Psst. Ebay is the way to go. I bought the three first seasons of AtS there for the same amount. Chinese version, possibly bootleg, but good quality. Beggars can't be choosers, I guess. It was just... cheap. :)

I've gotten an account on eBay, but haven't bought anything there, since most people seem to demand PayPal. I closed my PayPal account after I found out that they have really shoddy ways of dealing with things that go wrong.

They do? Huh. I've never had any problems with it, have used PayPal through Ebay at least ten times and, at least according to the information on Ebay, you're supposed to be able to file complaints if things go south. Does that not work? :( I've never had problems, so I haven't had to deal with it...

Also, I only deal with people with a LOT of positive reviews... I'm paranoid.

eBay aren't the ones with the shoddy procedures, PayPal are. So theoretically I could shop from eBay as long as I could pay through VISA or some other non-PayPal method, but there rarely seems to be anything I like available through those means.

Dealing with only people who've had lots of positive reviews is definitely a good thing. I was burned once on Amazon marketplace when I didn't get the item I wanted nor the money back.
