[ OH GEEZ - she takes a step back because she wasn't expecting what the not she supposedly wrote herself to be entirely real. There was her first face in the sphere! Too weird. ]

I think it's called 'Zuka. Want to pet it?

[this isn't a very smart girl. but Axel is nice and won't inform her of this; besides, KITTY. Axel waves through the sphere]

[ she shifts the cub around, and it's batting at her chin. the cub does look at the sphere and then tries to bat at it, too, which is almost a wave back to Axel. Almost! ]

That animal is just going to hurt you. Why don't you get rid of it?

[ She looks at the new face, then down to the cub. She sets it by her feet, and it wraps it's paws around her hand and makes mock growling noises. ]

Zuka's just a baby, and he's hurt. I don't want to do that.

[He's watching the cub with something like distaste, although his tone remains fairly neutral.] But he doesn't care about you. So why are you trying to help him?

[ She lets the cub play around with her hand, then kneels down and lets the cub have better access. ]

Because I care about him, and he doesn't have parents to do the caring.

[ though this sparks an idea; she looks up at Abel; ]

Do you think he does have parents? Maybe w e should find them... though I think that wouldn't be good for a kid to do alone. Kids don't need to face the world alone.

[ she pets Zuka, who takes to suckling on her fingers. ]

[ she blinks at the new face. ]
