A) Post pictures please of the costumes? I wanna seeeeeee!!

B) I hear you. I had such doubts about going to Botcon this year--partially 'my year sucks and blah' related and partially 'I do not want to go on my ONE vacation and have to deal with dramallamas'. I went; I'm glad I did. I hope you have a blast!

C) Oh dear god I don't dare enter my campus's gym for the same reason. It's not just down there. Here the college types (of both genders) glare like my goddam cellulite's contagious. (Sometimes I wish it were. >:[ )

A) I don't have a slew of photos yet, but Yami and I did a quick pic while she was trying on all the costume elements: Yami's Google+ Model Shot. I've got the shirt hemmed so it'll look better in the con photos.

C) See Li's post below regarding the sheer volume of college students in this town. It boggles the mind, seriously @_@

Honestly, I have almost zero excitement towards Dragon*Con this year. It'll be nice to see T-Kitty and Danny and all those folks again (and the fam if they do feel like meeting up), but I'm not sure it's worth the funds that are going into it. I mean, $85 for the room, at least that again in petrol, food for the weekend, parking... It feels like it just goes on and on.

I did a figuring up once. There are approximately 40k FSU students, 17k TCC students, and 14k FAMU students in this town. That means that 71,000 students are in this goddamn town. No wonder we can't find a gym that is college student-free. And my gods, do they all have staring problems. Oddly, less the guys than the girls, but still...

It kinda makes me want to take a book or something to the gym and zone out. And now I REALLY wish I had an iPad. I could be writing while gymming.

AGREED. The sheer monetary cost alone is killer and we're still reeling from losing 3% of our paychecks. Danny may not be as effected, but I have my doubts there since he still works a state job.

Honestly, people who say state employees make tons of money are welcome to look at my pay stubs. $21,100 annually ain't worth it sometimes.....

I'm sitting at the point of taking a book with to the gym and tuning out the idjits. It can't hurt, and if I can't see 'em staring maybe I won't be tempted to shank a bitch....

Danny is at a new job, where I believe he's making more than he was here, which was still more than we were making, possibly combined.

$25,900 annually isn't worth it sometimes, not for trying to make bills, buy food, and possibly do a few fun things along the way.

Books perhaps. Dirj suggested I try taking my laptop to the gym. A notebook maybe. Charge up KaiPhone and play PvZ with the earbuds in. They're all ideas.
