Now that sounds like fun. We don't have one specific neighborhood we visit here, but my friends and I have houses we must see, if only to note what new things they've added this year. Some of them actually have generators to run all the lights!

And I'm with you on the cold -- it has to be cold, or it's not really the holiday season.

Although I'm sure I could handle a warm Christmas in Hawaii . . .

Oh! Christmas Movie! Have you seen Donovan's Reef? It's John Wayne directed by John Ford. Set in a tropical island but filmed on Kaui, features a 12-year-old who's actually the hereditary princess of the place, Lee Marvin as a man who shows up on his and Wayne's 'mutual birthday' for the annual birthday brawl, and a cast of quirky characters and bizarre situations that could only be in one of these movies. Kind of like The Quiet Man. Beautiful scenery, and good laughs. I forgot to list it in my favorite holiday movies!
