My last day at school was Friday. I gave a speech, went to 5 classes, said goodbye to all my students and cried several times during the day. I'm going to miss those kids something fierce. Now I'm faced with the immediate problem of trying to figure out how to get all the presents given to me in a carry on. I'm only supposed to have 2 carry on ( Read more... )

Last night it was all I could do not to burst out crying at work. Tonight I just want to sit in my yard, watch the woods grow dark and mentally say goodbye to the wonderful little town in the mountains of Japan that has taken such good care of my Urchin for almost 3 years. Nanbu has been one of the wonderful places on the earth, may it remain so. I hope to one day again walk there. Live Long and Prosper Nanbu. Hugs to All. Mumsie

For those of you who are wondering how things went, Kat is now back on her way home from the Washington D.C. area, after arriving late last (Monday) night in Baltimore. She slept over here, and is probably home by now -- or still driving on down to home. (I'm not sure how long a drive it really is, but she left here about two hours ago.
