I don't think it's a lost cause, because a) your letter is polite and informative and b) you're stating what should be obvious to any person of average intelligence.
But you shouldn't be doing this alone. We all need to contact our representatives. Strength in numbers, so they say. . .
Thank You Paige:katsarecoolMarch 10 2006, 04:25:33 UTC
So are you volunteering to help? Yeah, they need to hear what we are saying. Just like many other diseases who were mysterious before Fibro; the truth will come out. There is a book called And the Band Played On. It is about the beginning of the AIDS epidemic; all the frustration to get major players here in the US to understand this disease and how serious it is and that it wasn't just a "Gay" disease.

You betcha. I on disability from month to month so I'd like to make my time more productive. Other than what you've already mentioned, let me know if there is something I can do to help with your efforts. My email is cpagehunt@yahoo.com
Hi Again Paige:katsarecoolMarch 10 2006, 19:30:10 UTC
Thanks for the email addie and I will be in touch.
One of the members here suggested I contact the newpaper and/or the local media. I just wrote a letter to The Charlotte Observer. And sent a long a copy of my letter to the Senators. Perhaps you could do the same?
We need to be heard. We need to educate the public about Fibro. We need to let as many people as we can reach know that it is NOT "all in our heads."
