In our next episode of "Binding Ties," Spike learns to work and play well (sort of) with the Fang Gang and gets some very special attention from Fred.  This chapter is rated PG-13.

"Binding Ties" is an eventual NC-17 story that follows the beginning of Ats Season Three and BtVS post-The Gift, if Spike got sent to live at the Hyperion after Buffy's

OMFG, Spike collected! Fuck yeah! That's friggin' inspired. It's about time somebody got them their damn money. Hahahaa!

Oh, and Spike fiddlin' with her hair while she patched him up? Hot. Oh, yeah. I'm clearly extremely easy. Heee.

Angel all constipated and wound up makes me smile. Yeah, he's being a big ass, but him being all prissy and righteous is endlessly annoying/amusing. Does that make any sense? It's early. Why the hell am I up this early? Why am I asking you this in the middle of my fic squeal? Shutting up. :D

Hee! Well, I didn't wanna M-Sue Spike, but come on. It's CA$H, yo. The boy needs his smokes and his scotch. Priorities 'n all. Seriously, it REALLY bothers me when shows go all flip on the money aspect of things. They glossed over it on Buffy but you could make a serious case for the cost of taxes and upkeep alone on Revello Drive.

OOh, thank you. I found a great layout with all of these shots that I was going to shamelessly steal...and then I lost the bookmark. So I had to do my best to recreate. Honestly, it helps me to write this version of Fred. Dirty thoughts!

Cordelia breezed past with a replenishment of cleaning supplies and a tense smirk. “And I know we can’t wait to hear what you spend your hard earned cash on, Spike.”

He held up his hand and flicked off the digits. “Booze, blood, smokes and snatch. Not necessarily in that order.”

Bwaha! I love Spike's potty mouth.

“Yeah, that last one’s gotta be breaking your bank,” Gunn said, putting the weapons up into the cabinet.

“Spoken like a man who knows! When’s the last time you got a bird to spread for you that you hadn’t paid for?”

And I love his cheerful insults. =D

“Spike, you threatened our clientele, broke half a dozen laws, cut phone lines, put an entire security company out of business, and that’s just what I already know about.”

“I didn’t kill anybody!” he hollered.

And I love his righteous vampire indignation. =D

He wagered he would’ve had the same reaction he experienced at that moment: ribbons of tendons, lengthening, tightening, swelling and filling with blood, all on edge for the next gorgeous moment, keening for

You're so F-in' good to me, I don't know what I do to deserve it, but I'll try my hardest to keep doing it! Seriously, thank you so much for that. We're the few, the proud keeping the Spred torch lit and it means the world to pass the word however we can. Since subliminal messaging is out on my budget (Fruity Oaty Bars channeling Spred?) I guess we'll have to settle for fanfic.

And speaking of wounds, that scene at the end with Spike and Fred was way sexier than it should have been--great writing!

I love the way you're bringing their relationship together slowly, but surely, with Fred getting to know what he's all about, and not flinching away from or ignoring the bad that comes with the good.

The relationship is progressing slowly (probably TOO slow for some folks, heh) and that's how I see that it would happen between them. Believe me, it is hard not to hold back in getting them with the smoochies!

As much as I enjoy the soochies, you're right, it would be completely wrong to do it this early. I think you have a great handle on the pacing, and how quickly things should happen. Don't let anyone tell you differently!
