Really? All well here, and for LJ, I tend to use Safari. (For most general browsing, I still remain a fond user of OmniWeb - but, OW is sometimes a bit unstable, and I really don't enjoy losing a reply in the process of being composed)
That said, the latest builds under El Capitan do exhibit a minor rendering glitch on the site's header, with the logo appearing below the stripe - but ISTR our esteemed host is mostly a Windows sort.
I have seen that occasionally, though intermittently. It may be bad interactions with the Ajax side of Livejournal. Or it might just be the Livejournal servers are crashing because there was news in Russia on any given day.
What browser(s) and OS(s) are at play here? It might be useful if we can replicate the problem, as it isn't a commonplace issue.
Have you tried turning it off and on again another browser? It's just this isn't an issue I've heard of before amongst folk I know, so I'm not sure what's going wrong.

Went ahead and installed the Android app. That's working. I run Firefox on the computer, will try things with Chrome and see if that's any better.
