Lovely family update, you do a wonderful job of making the Bookacies so real and relateable! I enjoy seeing the vacations too, I especially love grandparents spending vacation time with their grandkids (it also gave me an idea for a little storyline for taking my Uni girls to Twikkii on one!), and in this case, passing on the family businesses. There's a great feeling of family tradition going on that's really nice.
I also see why giving up your spare families, Legacy cousins, etc is so difficult, but really, unless you can play and write them 24/7, it's just too overwhelming, however much we may love them :)
Thank you, Lorin, I'm really happy that you enjoyed it. :) I kind of find myself missing plot again, but it's definitely nice to give this generation the nice, quiet family time that it deserves, too. And I'm already imagining plot for the upcoming downgrade, so it's all good. :)
Yes, exactly. The extended family is dear to me, but really we're drowning in distant cousins. Unfortunately I do have to work and sleep and whatnot. :P I'm not 100% decided yet on what to do, but something I'll have to do, at the rebuild point at the latest.
Though I do have to say, just look at how ridiculously rich and privileged legacy families become with their generations of private education, massive mansions, vacation homes, sports cars... X) But I do love the big families with the whole "- and this person is a third cousin, and that's a second cousin..."
Looking forward to when you're able to do the next update! :D
Never underestimate the power of cuteness, huh? :D Thank you! ^^
Yeah, it sort of tends to happen, just kind of as a side product of running a long time. Since this is an alphabetacy, that's about to change when we hit the first downgrade at the turn of the generation. (When I say "about to", I suppose I mean "in the next couple of years, I hope" with my current speed. :P) I wasn't going to do the downgrades originally, but now I'm looking forward to the first one; makes for some plot and probably more interesting gameplay too.
Thanks Jess, I do hope I'll have a shorter break between updates this time. Thanks for reading and commenting! ^^
