"My Super Sweet Sixteen" is the awfullest reality show on tv now, I swear. It makes me hate America. I know (and hope) it must be edited, but really... petulant spoiled rich girls whose fathers literally don't seem to know how to show affection except to shower them with money after every argument... who complain when they get less than 100- ( Read more... )

OMG. I've never seen good-quality versions of those Bale+Haynes pics. The first one I've actually never seen at all. *loves*

the thing about reality TV is that even though it's dumb as shit, you can't stop watching. It's like a train-wreck, you know you shouldn't look, and you know you shouldn't even contribute to the validity, etc., of the show, and yet you feel obligated to finish out an episode, a season, and feel slightly disgusted later. It's very Catholic.

Jay got me addicted to Strip Search which at least was interesting, but it was men acting like women and hating on eachother because of their body.

And notice, no one is ever friends, there are no "friends" anymore, there are "alliances"...that's the part I hate the most.

Ever watch the first season of The Surreal Life? The Flava Flav/Brigitte Nielsen thing was actually really sincere and sweetly portrayed. audity loved it.

Yup. This is kind of like that, except even more realistic. (The Brigite/Flava Flav thing really was pushed by the producers because it made such good tv. This developped a bit more independently.)

Man, I watched that show this summer. It was horrible, but in a more interesting way than a lot of other MTV shows ('Date My Mom' sounds like more fun than it actually is). And at least they're only sixteen. They may somehow grow out of it.

I actually kinda have seen those pics. I think they both look ridiculous in them. ;P

Bah, why didn't you show them to me?

(And by "ridiculous," I hope you mean "ridiculously awesome!" I mean, sure, they look silly and like they're playing in their mothers' makeup, but, man!)
