Oh, that's not vindictive. Not at all. They screw up that badly, they deserve every bit of your info-spreading. And you could probably complain to the BBB, maybe even the regulatory authorities.
My new loan officer was commenting about reporting them earlier in this fiasco, apparently. He gets one or two people a month from that company just absolutely frantic. So this doesn't seem to be an isolated incident.
I, frustrated, commented yesterday to the supervisor lady that I feel like I should report them to the BBB, and she snidely informed me "we haven't done anything wrong. You can't."
I pointed out that if I lose the house because they lost and delayed paperwork, and also had broken several agreements I had in writing, then yes, they clearly had done something wrong. She then stopped returning my calls. Until I emailed the founder.
I still think I'm being a little vindictive. I really don't want anyone to lose his or her job. I do want them to talk to all of them about how you treat customers. Particularly fiduciary relationship customers. Because this? This is not how you treat customers.
That's the thing. If they aren't doing their jobs, if they are costing the company business and acting unethically (if not illegally)... they deserve to lose their jobs. Or at least be reprimanded. I know, it sounds harsh, but there are competent, ethical, able people out there who would gladly take that job and do something with it.
I hope your letter was Flaming and full of all your frustration. It sounds like this company was horrible. I'm sorry it has been such a horrible experience.
I am happy that it looks like things are going to be okay though. I'm still sending positive thoughts and prayers your direction.
It was ... hm. Discontent. I was very detailed with what I thought was wrong with their treatment of me. I included names, and a timeline of events. It was not a tirade, though. I was rational, and I didn't threaten, swear, or even name drop. I figure that will take care of itself if Nu Skin contacts them.
I'm still considering reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, though. I probably will do it. I want to do a bit of investigation on how that would be most effective. I think I could tap a few of the managers at work and get a good idea.
Wow, and I thought our mortgage company was inept (we got a lot of "changing what we need from you" and "asking for the same document multiple times" -- I actually got them all of their pieces of required paperwork early, because I was going in for surgery on 10/20 -- there was utter silence from them for two weeks before they contacted us and told us they needed... um, all of the paperwork I'd just sent them).
I am so, so sorry you had to go through all this, and I'd say a little bit of vindictiveness isn't entirely a bad thing, under the circumstances.
EDIT: Holy cow -- I just went back and peeked at some of your earlier entries (I have been hugely remiss in my LJ reading lately) and saw you had your gallbladder out. That was the same surgery I had -- right before we bought our house. Crazy coincidences for the win? I think so.)
*laughs* It is a crazy set of cooincidences! I'm going to hope that I keep following in your footsteps, and get the house just fine after this circus, move in, and finally have my library and kitchen.
... and yes, those are the two rooms I'm most excited about.

Sorry that was such a saga.

I will certainly be warning everyone I know away from them.
