All solid, solid choices. One of them is already #5 on my tentative list and one has a seat in honorable mention territory (only ousted by 2 other awesome pilots in the same universe ... TOO MANY CHOICES!)
Also, I totally went and watched Titan A.E. after getting this comment. Somehow, despite both of us wanting to and thinking it looked super cool and almost choosing it like a hundred times, it had been languishing in our Netflix Instant Queue for years and neither of us had seen it. Thanks for the push. As expected, we LOVED it. Akima was super cool and had awesome skills. :) And I could not get enough of the amazing backgrounds in the film! That icy nebula thing was just jaw-droppingly cool. Gorgeous, gorgeous film. Thank you!
More pilots! Jet from Tank Girl! Nick from Riptide! (who is mostly not in space. Except for that space!AU when he was.)
Also, have you seen The Impostors? Anytime someone says spontaneous group public dance, I think of the end of that movie, and it warms the cockles of my cold black heart.

I am very ashamed to admit that I do not know either of those two. /o\ Perhaps I am far too mainstream. Have looked them up on imdb though. Naomi Watts as pilot? I could support this ...
And Riptide sounds right up my alley! I do love witty crime dramas with fun characters and skills. :) However, unless it shows up on Netflix it's doubtful I'll get to see it. :-/ At least I don't think I've seen it there. Shall check later.

And for a trifecta of fail, no, I have not seen that movie. But if it includes a spontaneous group public dance, it wins huge mega points in my book. :-D
Sadly, Riptide is not yet available on Netflix, not even the German version (of Riptide, I mean. I have no idea whether there's a German version of Netflix). Tank Girl is one of those polarizing movies -- you either love it or you hate it. I'm in the former camp, but I will admit Watts was a little under-utilized.
