Oh, thank you so much! I'm so pleased to hear it. :) I was happy to make an excuse to write Gaila this year, as Trek fandom was soooo slow and dwindly. (YAY for it picking up again!)

Thank you so much for thinking of me! I don't think I could have come up with a lovelier prompt, even if I had been able to make a request on your original post. You know that I've been needing a pick-me-up, and this was really the perfect surprise to come home to! What a lovely, sweet, genuine, and hopeful story for the both of them. You have worked in so many details of Gaila's emotional past for such a short story. That makes her such a vibrant character in a small space. Thank you again for the lovely gift :)

Of course, bb! I was itching to write some Trek, especially some Gaila, anyway, and I figured you could use a spirit boost! I'm glad the hints and details about her past came across so well-- I was hoping to allude without having to throw it in the reader's face, but I'm not always the most subtle of writers. ;-) I have a tendency to slam people over the head with the THEME STICK a lot ... hehe. My betas are always *headdesking* over that. So glad you liked it and YAY Gaila! She is such fun to write, especially for someone who has just as much (or more!) appreciation for her as I do!
