Having logged nearly 20k air miles in the last 8 weeks, I am amazed at some of the characters you run into. Some of them are perfectly lovely - some of them are hideous. For the most part, the flight attendants are generally very nice (although there've been a couple of perfect witches, too), but more and more it felt like the majority of the passengers were actually *trying* to be as rude and unpleasant as possible, to each other and to the attendants. I felt quite sorry for the attendants on my flight to Heathrow last week.
Yay for lovely, fun passengers. I hope I fall into that category for the attendants on the flights I travel on. ;)
Hehe, YES! It's one of my favorite aspects of the job-- all the fascinatingly diverse and interesting people I encounter. I agree that the majority of flight attendants are generally nice, reasonable, lovely people. I also believe that about the passengers-- most of them are great! But definitely some bad apples in both barrels
