So damn exhausted. My word. I just finished a 4-day trip that may have sucked a portion of my soul out of me. Seriously. I feel like I've been assaulted by a band of dementors. *sighs melodramatically*

( Me whinging about a way-too-short layover in Vegas and soapboxing about crew rest requirements and musing about the weirdness of early morning flights out of Vegas. )

Your movie night sounds like tons of fun, and well deserved! As someone who likes to travel, I do worry about the sleep levels of my flight crew, oof.

Ack! That doesn't sound pleasant at all. :( They should really allow you longer rest stops.

Haha if that hypothetical holiday to NY/SF and Vegas goes ahead then I may be one of those slightly drunk/hungover people you see on those early morning flights. XD

Our rests aren't always so short, but it's frustrating when they are-- and it happens often enough. Here's hoping you're hungover on one of my flights soon :P hehe. And I love that movie too! It's one of my favs. Sad, Heath! D:

Well, we started early in the morning, so I finished the trip at about 1430 so, exhausted as I was, I tried to hold out until I could sleep through the night. How's your head? (I've got really lame, short concussion!fic for you that I haven't finished... *facepalm*)

giiiirl I could've sworn I wrote up a comment here. That sounds just plain awful, and dangerous:| But... I have to say, I think it's really cool you're a flight attendant? It makes me think about movies like Up in the Air and Terminal and Mr. Brooks (which isn't about air travel at all; just features two flight attendants for about thirty seconds BUT STILL). And I just watched the latest Moore doc, which features Pilots and their shitty salaries :( ahhhh *hugs*!

It is rather crazy-- and thanks for the virtual hug and sympathy. I needed it! But I do love my job. I fly around, meet crazy, weird, interesting people, see cool places, and have loads of free time to read and write and bum around online. Yes, it gets stressful at time and I complain, but I do genuinely like it. It's not a bad life at all. :D Have you seen View From the Top? It's a movie about a small town girl (Gwyneth Paltrow) who becomes an FA and it's hilarious.
