I've been seeing this one around my f-list too, and I think it's so interesting! I love seeing what's popular and what people think of their top 5s-- whether they're surprised or pleased or what. Here goes!

I'm a little surprised but also not about the slash. This was such an interesting meme, I'll be interested in seeing if it changes in a year or so.

I think that slash is probably the most popular, but I think the reason it surprised me is that I so rarely write it these days. I do write it for drabbles or gift ficlets or whatever, but I don't remember writing a full-length slash story for a fest or anything in ... wow, quite a while! I've been much more het and femme focused these past few years. I still read slash and still hold some of my fav slash pairings near and dear to my heart (Deamus and G/Lee top the list!) but I just don't often write them.

Yeah, I think it would be a fun one to revisit annually!

I found that I had the most variation between most hits and the other two categories. I think people click on things because of tags, or pairings, but maybe it's not their cup of tea.

I think that's very true. Come to think of it, I know I have clicked on many a story to see more of its particulars and maybe skim the first few paragraphs and then closed out when it didn't look like my cuppa.

It is! It tops the list for kudos! I'm pleased with that. I still find that story completely hilarious with every reread. And I love the little backstory Lee got. It's nice when ones you're particularly proud of are on the list! Also, I wish there was more of this pairing!
