You picked out a few of my favorite bits! I was really happy with how those sections turned out. I don't often write the older characters, but I do wind up really loving the pieces I write when I do! The thoughts drawing in the uncertainties of war and whether they'd get to see the greying process through to the natural end were also so gently and naturally woven into the whole. ♥
