Signing up for all the fests

So I'm on a crazy writing spree--I want to write all the stories! Perhaps I'm just working too much and need an outlet. (I write a LOT of my fic in a moleskine notebook in the galley of my airplanes ...)

I've signed up for all of those except purimgifts I'm having some trouble understanding the formatting. Is it being actually hosted at AO3?

Also a pox on your house for being almost done with femme when I haven't started. I must decide what I'm doing for that. I have a very lovely assignment. I just need some motivation!

ETA: Also, depending on what the MRI says tomorrow and what treatment I'm looking at, it may be steroids which will make for a boingy eyed Shannon, and then I'll be awake for days and pretty much available for any help you need.

Yeah, it's hosted at AO3. It's a really different format over there but nice once you get used to it. To sign up you pretty much just enter all fandoms you're interested in receiving/giving and then once you get an assignment you figure out more specifically what your recipient wants. You write a Dear Author post wherever and can link it on your sign up listing characters, pairings, kinks, squicks, etc. to give your gifter more ideas. I've never done it before but it looks fun (and challenging!) You can post your stuff to AO3 anytime before the due date and it will keep them and post them publicly on the proper day. I did one Trek fest over there and it was a cool format

\o/ I love the roll! (I'm not as fond of the catalyst-- mainly, I'm so insanely stressed out that writing fic is a way to cope.)

I hate you for getting anything done. I'm so behind on things it's ridiculous.

I claimed a prompt at hprarefest but no one has got back to me yet to let me know if it's actually mine. So no idea what's up with that.

I considered doing the Purim fest (given it's my people and everything), but don't know if I have the energy or not.

The real reason is that I am so ridiculously stressed out over work and stuff that I am clinging to these fics as a coping mechanism. Like if I stop writing them the real world will seep back in and I can't take it right now. On the plus side-- wicked productivity!

I just now got my confirmation email from hprarefest and got my first choice .., good thing as I just finished the fic for that prompt on this last flight! *facepalm*

I'm super excited for Purim gifts! I'd love to see some friends over there but I also do not want you to be stressed ! It will be a good challenge playing with new people and possibly new fandoms and AHHH artsy stuff. I am so awful at graphics so if I come running to you, don't be surprised! :)

Also: I made this comment last night and then came back to the page this morning and realized I'd commented to the post instead of replying to your comment. LJ on phones is HARD.
