Gruul, you suck.

Before tonight the closest we'd come to downing Gruul was 12%. We seemed to consistently get him to 12% or 13% before wiping. Tonight we wiped at 22%, 12%, 9% and 2%. Not in that order. But TWO FREAKING PERCENT?!?! ARG!!!!!! It's just not fair ( Read more... )

....dang, dang, and dang 0_o On the good side, it sounds like you guys are getting better at that fight, but still... Frustrations in unwanted abundance. Hopefully on Monday I'll poke in here again and see the message with lavish amounts of celebration for your first Gruul kill. :)

In the meantime, tonight Vanakhor and Co. will be taking on Prince Malchazhar. It's Van's first time (mine as well) facing him, and if we down him it will be a guild first kill.

Goodluck to both of us! ;)

Oh, woot! For Prince, you'll have a little easier time as a hunter than melee DPS will, since you don't have to worry about Enfeeble. As long as you stay at max range you don't need to pay attention to Enfeeble because you won't be taking any damage. Poor melee guys have to be constantly yo-yoing back and forth between the boss and safe range, and if they react too late it's instant death. Ranged DPS (like hunters and mages, woohoo!) have it a bit easier.

It's not a hard fight in itself, it's just those damned infernals dropping that cause the problem. It's totally random so there's nothing you can do if you get a bad drop. The best gear and skill in the world won't help if you get a flaming heap of rocks dropping on your head. >_Keep the tank's back to the wall so he doesn't get knocked back, stay at max range to DPS, and have someone watching for those infernals to warn the group if they're about to drop on your heads, or on the tank. We usually start the fight with the healers/ranged DPS right inside the door and the tank/ ( ... )
