I think Oliver was constipated yesterday, and what I thought was part of his gill was a big poo he was working on. It's the only explanation for why he's completely normal this morning. 0_o I gave him a light lunch so as not to tax his upset digestion, but he ate just fine

Thank goodness that Oliver is okay. Hopefully it's just a brief spell for Pansy and I hope it clears soon. There's certainly nothing wrong with wanting to keep them going for as long as they can. Right now they're living a better life than they could have hoped for before you got them, so I'm sure they're grateful. Keep going, and all good hopes will see Pansy and Oliver both make a good recovery. :)
