In what universe does it make sense to advertise your plate glass business, herbal drug replacements, or sporting goods warehouse in the guestbook of a random website that has NOTHING whatsover to do with your business? Do you really think this is an effective marketing strategy? Do you really expect people to come flocking to your business with ( Read more... )

Welcome to the reason why I've given up on guestbooks altogether. Hardly anyone actually signed mine anyway, aside from spammers. Towards the end, they were leaving 30+ messages of gibberish spam a day >_< I decided enough was enough and got rid of it.

Yup. 30 a day. I reckon I'm just speshul ;) And I had it set up so that it e-mailed me whenever my guestbook was signed, too. Nothing like deleting a metric fuckton of notifications, then having to go delete a bunch of spam. >_
