LOL. Yeah, badfic at its worst.

And Susan Kay's novel is so awesome, I shall have to re-read it now to cleanse my palate of this drivel. >_< I haven't read it since HS.

Must love the Maya. You ought to read her Badger series - it's a trilogy. Stars Zacharias Smith and Draco.

Also, to find the greatest work of parodies, see this entry - a parody of Troy. Sample:
HELEN: Leave my bedroom now! Look, I threaten you with my pointy boobies!

LOL! I've been avoiding Troy stuff until I actually see the movie. Not that I'm not familiar with the basic plot. ;)

Ouch, yeah, I wouldn't pay money--even "fake" money--on that drivel. It was fun ranting about it, but I wouldn't be so amused if I had paid for it. >_

By all means, if you want to review it in phantom_lit go right ahead. Just please link to the existing review, so readers can catch 'contrasting' (yeah right) reviews.

Wow, I'm such a dunce I just now noticed that it was a community instead of a personal journal. LOL! I just joined and will post the review & link soon. :)
I plan to read the Angel of the Opera next, and then re-re-read the Susan Kay novel. I just finished the original Leroux novel before reading this Manhattan dreck. I should go back and write something about that, too...
It's a really fun idea for a community, and I've already expanded my "to read" list. :)
