This is terrifying. A LJ user apparently made some sort of entry saying negative things about the president in what was meant to be a goofy, fun matter, and got a RL visit from the Secret Service. Scary as hell. Shades of 1984Now, I haven't read the original entry that got her in trouble. It may have crossed a line. I don't know

True! Come to think of it, I'd laugh if most of those things happened to John Kerry, too. Just with a little less mean-spiritedness. ;) But let's face it, a pie in the face is always funny. So are hiccoughs. And dog pee. ;)

Ever see 'In the Line of Fire' with Clint Eastwood and John Malkovich? Clint's a secret service guy who agonizes over his failure to protect Kennedy from getting shot. It's a decent action picture, with a nice romanic subplot with Rene Russo.
