Next week is Banned Books Week, and being the lit geek/library slave that I am, thought I'd run down this list and see which ones I've read. Memeness ahoy!
The 100 Most Frequently Challenged Books of 1990-2000
I remember reading Of Mice and Men in English class when I was in high school :) It was a pretty good story =D And of course, when we read it, we were like "So THAT'S where the reference came from!" I'm gonna hug 'em and squeeze 'em and pet 'em... XD

To draw attention to books that have been frequently challenged or banned, to show how important they are and what a shame it would be if they were never available. It's an anti-censorship thing. ;)
Wow. Some of those titles just have me scratching my head. Why put THOSE on the banned book list? I think some people just overreact when it comes to that stuff.
