Next week is Banned Books Week, and being the lit geek/library slave that I am, thought I'd run down this list and see which ones I've read. Memeness ahoy!

I remember reading Of Mice and Men in English class when I was in high school :) It was a pretty good story =D And of course, when we read it, we were like "So THAT'S where the reference came from!" I'm gonna hug 'em and squeeze 'em and pet 'em... XD

Although, why they would ban that book I dunno O.o What's the purpose of banned book week anyways? O.o

To draw attention to books that have been frequently challenged or banned, to show how important they are and what a shame it would be if they were never available. It's an anti-censorship thing. ;)

Wow. Some of those titles just have me scratching my head. Why put THOSE on the banned book list? I think some people just overreact when it comes to that stuff.

Ha! I beat you by five. This list contains some of my absolute favorite books. Oh and Where's Waldo was banned for nudity.

Apparently there's a small naked lady somewhere in the book. Forget 'Where's Waldo?', let's find the small naked lady.

I should check it out again. I read it when I was like 15 and it might make more sense now. ;)
