Thanks, and Happy New Year to you. I loved your account of your quiet and peaceful Christmas, just you, hubby and the dogs. Sometimes I would like to spend a few days quietly like that but, although I live on my own, I never seem to get much time alone. Shouldn't complain really, I have family and friends who are always around and always in touch, and you can't buy that. But a couple of days just to spend reading, or lazing, or even trying to write something, that would be a nice change.
And I so envy you the dogs. I can't have a dog until I retire, which won't be for another fifteen years or so - it wouldn't be fair to leave an animal all alone in the house all day. But I do miss having one. Give yours a hug from me.
