You got it. Owen sneezes when you put your finger under your nose and say "Ah choo." He also bows when you say, "take a bow." We got him when before having Rosemary and apparently I had a lot more time on my hands. Joel worked on obedience things with him and I taught him tricks. He can also give a high five, shake hands, roll over, play dead (when you make a gun out of your fingers and shoot him), and I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of them.
Oh yes, and I don't like chocolate or the AP style. It's all true.

OK, apparently the referal code is in javascript which is why it doesn't show up here. i tried to post it for you in http://thesynergizerkitty.blogspot.com/ thinking that blogspot would support java (i know lj doesn't) and it comes out blank there too!!! grr.
i think the short of it is, there IS a referal program and I'd love if you could hold on for just a teeny bit longer for me to get it figured out. Then you could sign up for ad sense under me, you know, in case that was important to you or anything ;-)

In a Wordpress blog, you tag your entries by creating Categories and then making the appropriate categories for each post. You can create Categories through the admin page. (Click "Manage" and then "Categories" from the main admin page

Additional info: You can add anything you want by modifying the files located in the "Theme Editor" area, but you will need to know the proper code to insert for the things you want to add. I recommend making a backup copy of the theme files. That way, if you make a change that causes a problem, you can quickly undo it by copying the backup copy of the file back in place.
If you can use widgets with your theme, it is much easier to create sidebar widgets for all the extra things you want to do than to have to custom code everything. Shauna's new theme is "widget-aware." It makes it very easy for her to tweak the sidebar content without having to mess around with a lot of code.
Thank you so much for your help! I took your advice and created a link in the sidebar. The bummer is that the sidebar doesn't show up when you look at comments? I notice it does on Shauna's site, so I'm not sure what the problem is ... except that I didn't exactly do a theme, I went and bought this blog banner kit and I think that was kind of the end of it for me. I went and got a little too complicated for my own good.
Also, I think I figured out how to remove the Meta section, but I don't want to mess around with it until I've created a backup, like you suggested. So I will work on that this weekend. I really appreciate your help. I really want to get going with this blog and feel like I'm sort of stuck in an, "uh, I dunno" loop at the moment.
I'm not sure if I can use widgets or not? I see the page on the wordpress site that has widgets and I'll mess around with that a little more after I create my backup.
Hmmm...I can see how the blog banner kit works for the graphical part of your blog, but since it is a Wordpress blog, it still has to have some kind of theme. At least I thought that was the case. Maybe you modified a standard theme to use the graphics from the kit? I don't know.
As for the sidebar not showing up when you view the comments, this is because the comments are displayed in a completely different file from the main page. This goes back to the theme issue. Your theme needs to support the sidebar in the comments. Of course, you could change the code for the comments page in your existing theme to add the sidebar, but this would be a challenge to anyone without a fairly thorough knowledge of PHP and the Wordpress structure. (I don't mean that in a condescending or insulting way, but, to be honest, I wouldn't want to tackle such a task

To answer you cost question. I can't remember off the top of my head, but it's something like $6.95/month. However, you have to pay for a 1 year subscription. Maybe you can commit to less for more money. I used the money I made off of ppp to buy it. I figured that made the most sense. You can get it even cheaper if you pay for 2 years upfront. And honestly, it only takes what, 12 ppp posts to pay for that?
