that Utah. KATE whats up!! i finally got around to signing up with this site just to be able to see/read you again ;)
how the heck are ya? hows the beach life ;)
still chillin in utah with plans to depart in the fall (october-ish). hawaii is still the plan, but for some reason i now have the urge to covert to nomadism (or something along the likes!) and skip the US hawaii all together. perhaps start with samoa and jump around from there. just a thougt.

good day! so in addition to livejournal, i have registered with facebook in yet another attempt to connect with long lost loved friends. this networking takes time tho, time i have yet to manage... hmm, this'll be an interesting online social networking summer... if only i would win the lottery and become filthy RICH so that i could just FLY over and chat in person?! to do list: start playing the lotto.

I just added you here and on Ravelry and will be adding you on Dreamwidth shortly. Found you via the entrelac socks on DW, and I loved what you said on Rav about going off-pattern. It's my own philosophy when it comes to pretty much any creative pursuit! I still knit from patterns so I can learn new techniques and understand the construction of different types of items, but I'm one of those people who can adapt things and come up with her own patterns after I've done it once, because I understand how it works and what's supposed to happen where. (And I still modify patterns as I work from them, anyway.)
