Dominick next to the hotel is, like, almost as big as Hong Kong Shatterdom. We can (and should!) totally get some cake! *slots time in for cake and booze run* 10 YEARS OMFG.

You know my feelings about Pacific Rim. Tomorrow is K-Day! I feel like I should go see it again to commemorate? Uhm. So what if I've seen it three times already! Shut up.

Much as I loved watching giant robots punching monsters, that sparring scene is hands-down my favourite scene in the movie. I managed to find a clean version of it online and have been watching it on repeat for last couple of days. Mako has SO MUCH SWAGGER as she strides across that mat (I wish I saw more of this attitude from her during the rest of the film). How she steps into his initial attack and gives him the first point, because she's just that cool and badass. The way she hops, quick as you please, to match his longer strides. HIS ARMS (because I'm not blind, yo.) That evasive Ina Bauer move! The tackle! They look honest-to-goodness evenly matched, with complimentary fighting skills.

...and then they did sex. Look, fine, there was no kiss in the movie but THEN THEY DID SEX, and it was AMAZING. Credit to the casting and the portrayals, those two had to show a lot of chemistry from the get-go and then they did.

I totally get the cake, though. I feel like I have some kind of anniversary of knowing what vividcon is, and watching people get excited about it, and you know, it makes me happy to see people get squeeful about vividcon. So. Happy 10th! I hope there is cake.

Oh man, was listening to ZLX on the way to work yesterday morning and they were chatting about the beer truck. Wow.

As for the sheets...um also wow.

Yeah, it was apparently all very dramatic. I considered just having dinner in town, but by then I had big bags and everything and I really just wanted to get home.

Re #4-- Yay pedicure! Also, go to my brother's restaurant! The food is great and it's right on the L in a nice neighborhood.
