If the nice cave people can give consent/indicate interest to each other, I guess they can do it to the space people.

I feel quite scandalised having pursued that thought to the end. I hope you're happy.

Caveperson porn for everyone!

(But are they really capable of giving consent in a human sense, or are we dealing with the equivalent of bonobo sex here? ...I should stop thinking about this, shouldn't I.)

Could've been worse. The final scene could've been Tommy Westphall staring into a snowglobe containing astronauts and cavemen.

Hee! Well, that's true. Though at least then I would have laughed and laughed.

The idea that everyone was all like "okay, sure, I'll go learn to be a hunter-gatherer" seemed very much the "This sounds totally awesome in theory" that never got to the "...but how the hell are we going to do this?" practical part. (Tyrol particularly. I understand where you're coming from, man, but you gonna diiiiiiie.)

And I thought the lampshade bit--where what's-his-face the lawyer with the invisible dead cat--was all "gosh, I'm surprised everyone went for this!" just made it worse. OMG they did not, the writers just made them!

See all those actors over there, trudging across that beautiful hillside? They are all muttering, This is the dumbest thing they've come up with yet!
