So I wan't the only one who shouted "TOBY!" at the screen.

I also liked it when Michael said their relationship had been "a little rocky" - ya think?

I think a lot of us shouted "Toby!" I can't help but think they were playing on the actor's past when they cast him.

Yeah, the Toby thing made me blink vigorously for a few minutes. It was odd.

So with you on the Fiona love - she won't take any of Michael's emo and it makes me happy.

I think I just have a soft spot for women who like to make things explode, really.

You guys are all very weird. I hate Fiona with a burning passion.

Some of that does hinge on Michael being sincere when her tells her to back off and that he's not into it, but still. She bugs.

No, I get that--I've been seriously annoyed by the same behavior in other characters, so I don't know why I find Fiona so charming. I think it's partly to do with the basic not-quite-real tenor of the show, partly because they had a previous affair that was cut off untimely... I don't know.

Hee. Michael very much wants to believe that his I'm a Lone Wolf schtick is noble self-sacrifice, and I love that Fiona won't let him get away with it. In that, she has a lot in common with his mother.

I have to admit, I kind of hope that Michael's mother has a Secret Past. (At first I kind of hoped she was the one who got him burned in the first place--because she was lonely, don't you know--but alas, I don't think the show is quite wacky enough for that.)
