Augh I am so angry.

"Emotional" pretty much always means "angry" with me, on some level, and given the spectacular clusterfuck that was my job interview yesterday--I'll find out sometime tomorrow afternoon whether the screwup was mine or theirs, but either way, it was bad and I didn't give a great interview anyway and ( Read more... )

I think it's more the theory that if the guy eats her brain he'll gain her power and be nigh indestructable and impossible for the "heroes" to defeat.

Yeah, okay, good point. I just hate to see Claire stuck in a simple damsel-in-distress role, you know?

I know the anger well. Revel in it for a while, and calm down later.

I don't like angry, though. It's no fun. Sigh.

Sometimes interviews are just downright awful. The one I remember best was an evening, after-work interview with one guy at a small publishing company. We were probably the only people in the building. The first question he asked me was "Do you play chess?" I said no.

For the rest of the hour, *everything* he talked about was linked to chess. I'm not sure if he was obsessed or just trying to put me in my place by talking about a game instead of books. It was unbelievable.

They never called or wrote to say I didn't get the job...

Weird. I'm thinking it was just as well you didn't get that position, given that the interviewer was kind of nuts.

(And did I hear it was your birthday? Happy birthday!)

*hugs* I hate days like that, when just anything makes you snap.

Yes! It's no fun for me, it's no fun for the people around me... sigh.

I offer careful hugs, and imaginary quiet spaces.

You know, interviews are just *never* good things. Always stressful. So I'm sorry to hear that yours was even worse than usual. And that the rest of the world is not co-operating by working smoothly. And that you have a cold, which can't be helping.

So, I waft good thoughts in your general direction.
