I'm not. Jack is a kick ass character anyway. A kick ass character based off of Mark Harmon/Simon Donovan is almost as drool worthy as Bill himself!

I've been reading this over at Survival Instinct. I'm not sure how I ended on your page (probably just pushing buttons because I am too overtired from a long Spring Break or it could be fate *grins*) but I'm glad I did. I haven't read these chapters in a while and I have to say that this is so terrific. Laura is so dark and sad. She did what she did for Hera to protect her. The way she is treated for it is one of my few complaints about BSG, that and the fact that Helo is rewarded for idiotic, egocentric, self-serving actions in several episodes. WTF, so he's the XO, again?!?
Sorry didn't mean to rant (got my own page for that.) Just want to say this is phenomenal!

This fic actually came out of a wistful wondering of what might happen if Laura found herself completely without a support system. Then I realized that it wouldn't matter if there actually was no support system or if that was her perception. But I never saw an opportunity in canon to bring her down quite that low.

And then came EoJ and I was yelling, "WTF are you doing, Bill? You're all she has!" Bingo.

The only character I mind hearing ranting about in my own live journal is Cally. Because way too many people rant about her in way too many other places. I won't go on other people's sites and start fights, but that's the one thing I don't want to see on mine. Cally bashing. So you're safe ranting about Helo the Hero and his Number Eight model here. Precious few places you can do so without sparking a war.
