Oh, STARGATE.
So I've finally started watching the Stargate mythology special all the way through, and this just about made me fall off the couch laughing:
BRAD WRIGHT: ...and I think Sam is in many ways the most difficult character to portray, because she's all of those things. She is the warrior, she is the thinker, and plus... a woman! So she's got a lot on her plate.
A WOMAN! What will those wacky writers come up with next, I ask you? I mean, if she were a warrior and a thinker and a man, that would be easy, but... she has to do all that extra stuff that comes with being a girl, too! For instance, she has to menstruate on camera, I guess. Or something.
