So, the anime convention is this coming weekend. We leave Thursday night, and I had a test on Friday. So I go to the professor, make some excuse that sounds much less lame for why I'm going to be gone, and get permission to reschedule. Awesome, yes ( Read more... )

Oh, school, why you gotta hurt us this way? I hope you had lots and lots of fun at the convention. And did blizzarding by chance give you a few days off or anything?

Silly child...we live in northern Minnesota. Days off, hell freezing over, about the same likelyhood. The entire city must shut down before that happens.

But the con was good, and neither test went epically bad, even if neither went as well as I would have hoped.

Oh, there's that. We do get bad winters here, but it's still... like, especially the cities, every once in a while you get the feeling people just want a break, and there'll be an inch of snow and everyone panics and shuts down. (Which is stupid because then by winter's end they've used up their snow time/vacation/whatever, and there'll be a blizzard and it's like "tough luck, get to work/school!"
