I didn't know that was Joseph Campbell, though. That's awesome. I did "Hero With a Thousand Faces" and... don't remember like any of it, but it was way cool.
So yay for following! And I like that about distinguishing between thrill and actual happiness. Right on.

I have one of his books on audio, "The power of Myth," and it's pretty good, though I haven't read all of it yet. If you want it, I highly recommend it, and will send it straight away.
This quote came up just a few months before the swimming fiasco, so it became quite the thing to cling to.

Oh I wanna read that one! I do so adore mythology and all the analyzing one can do of it. Though... I think for the first time, I shall decline an offer of audio-stuff from you, because I prefer to read books on paper. I just don't feel like I've read a book unless I can hold it and stuff, you know?
But it makes Joseph Campbell kind of my hero if he got you through The Swimming Issus...
