Sunrise, sunset...

Just by looking at a picture how can one tell if it it's a sunrise or sunset?

No way.
Generally sunsets are more coloured than sunrises because of the dust that is stirred during the day and settles by dawn.
But looking at one particular picture of unknown place - no way.

I too believe the colours of a sunset are more intense. I appreciate your point on the dust I wasn't aware of that.

Both -- sunrise and sunset -- are always there and yet always beautiful, though one is a beginning and the other an ending. A good piece of philosophy to think about.
