It's beginning to look a lot like...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas March 2020. Just like March 2020 as the country locked itself down when it wasn't getting clear direction from the government we hummed and hawed and ... went to the ballet. We had tickets for Matthew Bourne's The Nutcracker which were bought in February 2020 for December 2020 and instead of just ( Read more... )

It was lovely to be able to do that even though if felt rather risky. It was great to be with a live audience again.

It sounds like a lovely evening. At least these days we can test at home which is such a bonus isn’t it (especially in the cold/‘flu season!).

Yes, we tested ourselves before we went out just in case. Luckily I ordered some more lateral flow tests just before everybody else did! It was lovely to be watching something live again.

Glad you got out before there were further lockdowns. I hope things will turn around. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The theatre would have exchanged the tickets for a later date but we thought this was our best chance. There is a very strong chance of some form of lockdown after Christmas, if not before. I hope things turn round too but it isn't looking good at the moment, though people are being much more careful.

Thank you. It is a new experience to have a blank slate to play with.

I am so glad you finally got to the ballet - and that it was so well masked and ventilated too.

Abd hurrah for the gardeners having finished. Enjoy your planning and planting.

I'm with you on reality shows - although I would add Strictly to my 'must watch' list, but have no bright ideas for other shows.

I forgot Strictly :)

We thought hard about the ballet but decided it was worth the risk. There were some empty seats so obviously some people had decided against it but we had a really good time so don't regret it... so far.

I am trying to think of things that are easy to grow for the garden so we don't get discouraged and let it get out of hand again. I've never planned a garden before as I'm more of a "this hasn't actually died yet" kind of gardener.
