Oh dear - I hope everyone recovers OK from Covid. I do know a few people who have been vaccinated and still got Covid, fortunately not too badly. It's still out there isn't it!

Let's hope the bowel cancer op is a success too!

We certainly hope so but it's still early days.

Covid is definitely still out there!

See you tomorrow :)

That sucks about everyone with COVID. My MIL, her husband, and mother (who all live together) just recently got it. They were all unvaccinated and were virulently against the vaccine (tried to convince me and my husband not to get it.

I hope your family aren't too unwell but I can't understand why people don't want to be vaccinated. It just seems like commonsense to me to get as much protection for oneself as possible.

Glad they didn't persuade you!

They've all tested negative since, but when we called them they sounded awful on the phone and his grandmother did have to be hospitalized briefly. I'm still not looking forward to going over to theirs for Thanksgiving tomorrow.

It's sad, but not entirely surprising, since they're Drumpf supporters. Mike's grandmother even used to be a nurse. But, they would just tell these anecdotal stories about how a friend of their mechanic's hairdresser died from this or that because they got the vaccine.

Drumpf has a lot to answer for. I'm not surprised you aren't looking forward to going there. Hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving despite it all.

Those are a bit close to home.... At least the vaccinated ones are likely to recover and not need hospitalising.

My hairdresser was on the mend and expected to be back at work next week when she rebooked my appointment. E, our neighbour, is only 31 so hopefully she will be OK. Her partner is rather older and has health issues but he has been vaccinated and as far as we know hasn't caught it from her.

I presume we are all going to get it at some point but, hopefully, will have protected ourselves enough not to get it badly.
