First of all Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Hanukah to those who celebrate and Happy Thursday to the rest of us!

A bit late with the book meme but I was out for most of yesterday.

What I've finished reading hasn't changed.

Very sad news about Lewis Collins... I think I've got a half-finished Bodie/Doyle story lurking around. They were one of my first slash pairings, too, in the wonderful (but frustrating sometimes) days of paper zines and when we were paranoid enough to circulate numbered copies of stories ...

Those were the days... It really brings it home to me how much things of changed when I think how difficult it was to get stories then and now it's just one click away!

I'll always look back fondly on Bodie/Doyle. They were a great pairing :(

I thought of you when reading about Lewis Collins. (And then I found it it's a small Liverpool world and that his son is Mike McCartney's godson.)

Thanks for the thought. I had no idea he was ill so it was a bit of a shock.

Now I come to think of it I do vaguely remember hearing that Lewis Collins was a friend of Mike McCartney. They may have been in a band together.

Oooh, The Black Count sounds good! I've got it in my to-read pile - I think I should move it up a few places.

It's absolutely fascinating. I think if Alex Dumas life was fiction nobody would believe it!

Meeting LJ friends in rl is wonderful, I'm glad you and nympha_alba had such a lovely time. <3

I haven't seen Thor yet, but then I'm not overly eager to watch it. I liked the first movie well enough, just not enough to go and see the second one in cinema. I wish Loki would just show up on Agents of SHIELD, the show'd improve +500%... :P

Sadly I don't know Lewis Collins (or the show he was most famous for) but my TL is full of sad tweets, somehow it feels appropriate to say 'sorry for your loss'. *hugs*

Ah, thanks. Not really my loss but a fond early part of my fannish past.

I gave up on Agents of SHIELD without actually even noticing that I had! Loki would most definitely liven things up.
