I enjoyed this episode such a ridiculous amount that I don't have anything sensible to say about it. Rambling commences.

You're not Merlin )

Terrific episode with a fantastic mix of comedy and drama.

I agree! That mix is why I enjoy Merlin so much.

Me too. Having moments that are laugh out loud funny really enhances the dramatic moments, but not that many shows can manage it as well as Merlin is doing at the moment.

This was a superb episode. I loved the combination of humor and drama. Loved that Arthur was figuring out that Agravaine might be the traitor but with a hint of Gauis. I loved that Arthur never even thought of Merlin as traitor.

Oh, clumsy Merlin and his inability to assassinate Arthur. He doesn't seem to have much trouble killing other people. Perhaps his magic and his personality was still buried under there somewhere.

I LOVED that Merlin under the spell was distinctly less helpful and friendly. LOVED how he talked to Morgana when he was tied up. No more bumbling fool but someone of power.

Yes, I'm surprised she didn't seem to register the change.

Loved that Arthur was figuring out that Agravaine might be the traitor but with a hint of Gauis.

When I rewatched I was watching very closely to see if he reacted at all to the suggestion it might be Gaius and he didn't. I was very intrigued that he'd worked out that it might be Agravaine entirely on his own.

Perhaps his magic and his personality was still buried under there somewhere.

I wondered that. It took real talent to be that incompetent *g*.

It was definitely a superb episode :)
