This writers' strike, man. The more I learn about it the more I'm horrified at the AMPTP and their ridiculous disingenousness. But still I keep seeing responses from people who seem to think that the WGA is staffed with overprivileged whiners who want more money to pad their ludicrously large wallets already. I've been on the wga_supporters community shortly after the strike broke out. It is high traffic, but you get to find out alot of what is going on very quickly.

That sounds like a knee-jerk response from people who can't comprehend why labor unions actually exist. I'm still not sure what you say to people like that.

I have not actually seen this, which is odd.

I am, for the record, of the opinion that the WGA is wholly in the right here, and I support the strike. And I am not what one would traditionally consider a leftist.

Yup. And all this is why I'm on a new-media boycott until the strike is over, and sending variants of this letter to every AMPTP corporation for whom I can locate an email address or web contact form.
