I was REALLY freaked out when I first read it as marry your daughter... I can't believe it though, even as it truly reads.

I wasn't sure it was a joke until I read the testimonials page. I'm pretty sure now that it's a parody website mocking people who really do those things, based on how the people and daughters are all, "Thanks to Marry Our Daughter we were able to take the trip we always wanted!" Or buy our first new car, etc. I would think if it were real, they would talk about their religious views or how well the marriages worked out rather than saying how happy they were to finance things with the bride price...

Though you never know!!!

I watched one of the YouTube videos on their About Us page and it's a hoax. The guy who set it up said it was done as a protest against laws that allow parents to marry off very young girls. Apparently, he's not only got guys proposing, he's had people trying to sign up their daughters!
