Agree 100%. It's just so tiring to comment and then have to defend it for twenty more comments and I get riled and then I get sad and then I realize I've spent an hour on a post when I could be writing. I miss the luxury of ignoring the news for a few days at a time.
This resonates with me :) I still don't understand the LJ like-notification emails. Seriously? Which entry? What about it? Why can't I see which entry when I go into my LJ? Why just a mysterious email taunting me with a vague amorphous "like"? Drives me nuts.
So much truth. This line jumped out at me: "But people want to be pissed, and if you try to be rational in a group of pissed-off people, you'll end up bloody."
