Awee... You know birds usually bond with just one person... it sounds like he never really bonded with his previous owners (most likely because they didn't have the time to provided the attention he needs)...
As time goes on he will bond closer with you, and will be so very loving.
I love to watch birds with their special person. they are soo cute cuddling and nesting on that person.
